Benidorm’s pristine beaches are a magnet to holidaymakers throughout Europe and beyond during the summer months, but the city also has a great deal to offer in autumn and winter.

According to a report in Las Provincias more than 80 percent of hotels will remain open, making around 32,000 beds available. The scheme extended to tourist attractions and campsites.

The Visit Benidorm Foundation together with Hosbec and Turisme Comunitat Valenciana is working on the scheme. Hosbec is quoted as saying:

This work has many active fronts: from the hotel point of view, hotel companies have decided that the Covid-19 crisis cannot mean a return to seasonality and that the closure of companies is not an option.

A “Benidorm Generation” promotional campaign has been launched to target tourists over 50 and retired people who have high purchasing power. The “Silver Campaign” will be publicised both nationally and internationally.

In Europe, the campaign will focus on the United Kingdom and the Benelux countries.

The campaign aims to portray the resort as one that:

Offers everything and where everyone fits: diverse people in terms of age, lifestyle, tastes or appearances, who share solid values ​​that make them special.

The campaign presents Benidorm as a #Befoodie destination for lovers of Mediterranean food. Other hashtags include #Benatural Tolerant, which reminds people to respectful of the environment and #Beadventure, for daring people wanting to participate in adrenaline-fueled activities such as diving and rock climbing.
