News that Liverpool will host Eurovision 2023 on behalf of Ukraine was followed by reports that three events that will decide who will represent Spain will be held for the second time in Benidorm—and that Benidorm Fest 2023 is expected to have a much bigger audience than the 2022 version.
It’s also reported that Spain has already chosen its representative at the Junior Eurovision 2022 in December. Eleven-year-old Carlos Higes, above, will perform at the event in Yerevan, Armenia. Carlos is from Valencia.
The 2022 Junior Eurovision Song Contest will be held on December 11 in the Karen Demirchyan Sports and Concert Complex in Yerevan.
Meanwhile, it’s reported here that Fest 2013 promises “to be big.”
The regional government want a bigger audience and more events during the festival week, spreading the love across more of the city. This year’s edition was extremely profitable, and they want to ride that wave. With almost half a million hotel rooms in Benidorm alone, this could really blow up.
Tickets for Benidorm Fest 2023 will go on sale from November 1. The three shows—two semi-finals and one final —are scheduled to run from January 30 to February 4.
